The pastor at my previous church has often mentioned my lettering a series of liturgical pieces. The Sanctus (or Holy Holy Holy) is my first offering in that genre. The heading and ending are in copper ink. The purple ornamentation is Shooting Star flowers, a merging of a floral motif in keeping with the Art Nouveau border with a nod to the glories of both a wildflower springing from the earth and an even more ephemeral glimpse of creation seeming to fall from the heavens.
